By Air: Arriving at Edinburgh International Airport you can get to Auld Reekie by taxi or by bus. The taxi fare will depend on the traffic and the time of day but should be be about £15.

There are several buses leaving from outside the arrival terminal at the airport which will take you to the centre of Edinburgh. You need to get off at Waverley Bridge which should be a £3 - £4 fare. When you get off at Waverley Bridge walk back a short distance to Princes Street and take a 3, 31, 36, 69, 80 or 81 bus from in front of a department store to Mayfield Gardens, a 80p fare. This is a few yards from our front door. For late arrivals the last bus from the station leaves at 11.15 p.m.

By Rail: Take the train to Waverley Station. From here take a taxi to Auld Reekie. The fare will be approximately £5. Alternatively walk up the ramp from the station to Waverley Bridge, and turn right at the top and walk back two hundred yards to Princes Street. A department store will be facing you and from there take a 3,31,36,69,80 or 81 bus to Mayfield Gardens, a 80p fare. This is a few yards from our front door. For late arrivals the last bus from the station leaves at 11.15 p.m.

By Road: Whether approaching from the North or South the easiest way to find us is to take the Edinburgh bypass, the A720, to the Straiton Junction. From there take the A701 towards the city center. This will bring you past our front door shortly after the road name changes to Mayfield Gardens. The house is on the left.

Parking is unrestricted in the area. There are two places for guests in front of the house and further free offstreet parking is available.
